This presentation facilitated by Jessica Laurin, provides an overview of the Ontario ECE Grant Program, with a focus on supporting Indigenous learners in accessing Early Childhood Education. It highlights how the program helps reduce financial and systemic barriers through fully funded tuition, travel supports, and training allowances.
The session will showcase program successes and testimonials, outline eligibility criteria, and explain how individuals can access funding to begin or continue their ECE education. It will also highlight recent enhancements designed to better support Indigenous applicants, including more flexible employment requirements and expanded travel supports.
Participants will gain a clear understanding of available pathways, next steps for Registered Early Childhood Educators, and opportunities to grow into leadership roles within their communities. The presentation will conclude with an interactive Q&A session.
