DESCRIPTION:This presentation facilitated by Jessica Laurin\, provides an overview of the Ontario ECE Grant Program\, with a focus on supporting Indigenous learners in accessing Early Childhood Education. It highlights how the program helps reduce financial and systemic barriers through fully funded tuition\, travel supports\, and training allowances. \n\n\n\nThe session will showcase program successes and testimonials\, outline eligibility criteria\, and explain how individuals can access funding to begin or continue their ECE education. It will also highlight recent enhancements designed to better support Indigenous applicants\, including more flexible employment requirements and expanded travel supports. \n\n\n\nParticipants will gain a clear understanding of available pathways\, next steps for Registered Early Childhood Educators\, and opportunities to grow into leadership roles within their communities. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, June 16th\, 2026  Times: 9:30 am – 11:00 am CDT or 10:30 am – 12:00 pm EDT \n\n\n\nZoom Link \n\n\n\nSeasoned and inspiring leaders are invited to attend the second session of a series facilitated by Lorrie McGee. With over 30 years of experience in early learning\, Lorrie brings hands‑on knowledge and a deep commitment to supporting educators in their everyday work with children. \n\n\n\nA six‑part virtual series that invites participants to slow down\, reflect\, and grow together. Leadership is more than roles and tasks. It’s about how we listen\, care\, communicate\, and learn alongside one another. This series offers space to explore personal values\, strengthen communication and facilitation skills\, and build confidence in navigating meaningful and sometimes challenging conversations. \n\n\n\nRegistration is not a requirement and is open to early learning educators working in child care and child and family programs on reserve. We encourage participants to attend all six sessions if they are able\, as each one builds on the last and enriches the overall experience. However\, attending every session is not required.
